Ivy Murwisi – 2nd Cohort

The fellow formed a club called Champions Club – Guidance and Counselling and this club is made up of girls and boys who advocate for supporting the policies implemented by the government of Zimbabwe towards Guidance and Counselling in schools e.g. Circular number 23 of 2005 that facilitates home-grown feeding programs in schools. The TFZ fellow is the head of the Guidance and Counselling department who received several trainings on Child Protection Issues and carries out workshops with members from the community and also fundraises for the home-grown feeding program at the school through a variety of shows and so on.

The fellow has assisted with the following:

  1. Organizing Cooking schedules for meals with CAMA girls from the community
  2. Assisting CAMA girls prepare lunch for leaners
  3. Feeding learners during lunchtime according to levels at least 2 levels per day
  4. Facilitating workshops on Child Protection with community members from ward 25 Chiredzi
  5. Door mats made by Champions 🏆 club for sale as fundraising
